Fur-Ever Friends, Responsive Website
My role and responsibilities: UX/UI Designer, User research, wireframing, prototyping, testing, low/high fidelity prototyping, and design of the final product
Fur-Ever Friends is a place to connect people who are passionate about animals. It is for the people who need a way to market their foster home or shelter but do not necessarily have the tools to market and advertise on their own. It’s also a place to vet (get it? vet) potential adopters to make sure that these pups (and kitties and any other furry friend who needs a home) are going to the right family that will be a good fit.
With Fur-Ever Friends, I wanted to create a fun experience for both sides of the adoption coin. Maybe you’re just browsing and learning, and want to save some pups that might fit into your home, that’s why the “puppy loves” tab exists, to save those fuzzy friends for when you are ready. It even includes a unique feature for first-time adopters: a full walkthrough on how the process works, how to make sure you are prepared, and resources you will need to prepare.
Whatever it may be, Fur-Ever Friends was created to give the adopters, the adoptees, and everyone in-between the best chance for success. We want these kitties, puppies, dogs, birds, you name it, to find the home in which they will shine. The application questions are tailored to breed and species to make sure the applicant has the home needed for their new furry friend to live their best lives.
There are articles and articles for potential adopters to learn more before making a big commitment so they can be as prepared as possible. This website is meant to be a one-stop-shop experience for shelters, fosters, and adopters alike. No more out-of-date, 3rd party websites to look through once you found your potential new best friend and no more hassle on the shelter side to keep up with the latest trends.
